The Toast & Melt™ floating hinge feature allows the top plate to remain flat on the bread, no matter how thick the sandwich is. The bottom plate toasts the bread from underneath, while the top plate sits slightly above to melt cheese onto the bread. Crispy open melt sandwiches without the mess.
