A: We do not have a trade-in program for old appliances at the moment, but we can help you to recycle your old appliances as e-waste. As a token of appreciation on behalf of mother nature, you will earn Axtra Rewards Points in return for your kind gesture.

Q4: What would TBM do with my E-Waste item?

A: Your e-waste items will undergo a carefully managed process at TBM:

• Eligible e-waste will be tracked using an innovative app (A pilot project with Department of Environment, Malaysia DOE & JICA), ensuring accountable handling.
• The recyclable items will be securely stationed at TBM's warehouse, awaiting their next phase.
• These items will be responsibly sent to government-licensed recycling facilities, where they will undergo recovery processes.
• Through this process, your e-waste will be transformed, contributing to the creation of new resources and reducing environmental impact.

Q6: When did the TBM E-waste Recycling Program start?

A: TBM has been running this E-waste Recycling Program since 2017. We have collected a large amount of e-waste as of now. Recent years, TBM is making additional efforts and holding a series of e-waste related activities to educate and encourage more people to recycle their e-waste.

Q7: Why should I choose TBM for recycling?

A: TBM is an authorised e-waste collector approved by the Department of Environment Malaysia (DOE) which adheres to a stringent recycling protocol.

 TBM also ensures collaboration ONLY with the certified parties such as registered transporters and the certified recycling facilities for e-waste management.

Q8: How can I recycle my e-waste?

A: There are 2 ways to recycle your E-Waste items to TBM:

For small items, you can deliver your e-waste to any of our TBM outlets, register with the counter and you will be entitled to Axtra Points earning.

For bigger items such as washing machines, refrigerators, etc, you can subscribe to our Door-to-Door E-Waste Collection service.

Q9: Do you provide pick-up service?

A: Yes. We do provide pick-up service for larger e-waste items in the Klang Valley area.

• When you purchase an electrical appliance from TBM, we will assist you in recycling your old e-waste upon delivery of the new product. Let TBM handle the disposal and recycling for you in one seamless process.
  
• You can also subscribe to our door-to-door e-waste collection service with a fee incurred. Learn more form here.

TBM E-Waste Recycling Program Terms and Conditions

TBM E-Waste Recycling Program is organised by Tan Boon Ming Sdn Bhd (494355-D) and is governed by these terms and conditions and guidelines as issued and specified by TBM.

1) Customers who recycle eligible e-waste items from the categories listed below to any TBM outlets or subscribe to our door-to-door collection service shall be entitled to earn Axtra Rewards Points in return. *Axtra Rewards Points are applicable to Axtra Rewards members only. (See the table below for the points allocation)

2) Products that are currently not eligible for this program are as follow:
- Incomplete or disassembled products
- Accessories (Example: cable, brackets, adapter, hose)
- Consumables (Example: filter cartridge, ink cartridge, battery)

3) There are 2 ways to recycle your E-Waste items to TBM:

   a) SMALL ITEMS:
You can drop-off your e-waste to any of our TBM outlets, fill in a form at our webpage from this link, you will be entitled to a FREE 1 year Axtra  Membership + your recycle points. Our staff will help to dispose of the e-waste in a systematic way.

   b) BIG ITEMS: 
For bigger electrical appliances, you can subscribe to our [Door-To-Door E-Waste Collection] service available for Klang Valley area only. Collection fee might be applicable, and the participants must agree to the collection cost prior to any arrangement of the e-waste collection.

4) Upon successfully accepting your eligible recycled items, as a token of appreciation, you will be entitled to earn Axtra Points to your Axtra Rewards membership account.

5) The Participants are responsible to remove any SIM cards, memory card, personal data and perform factory reset on your used electronic devices before recycling them to TBM. Any dispute arising from this Campaign or relating to the interpretation of these terms and conditions, TBMs’ decision shall be final and binding on all parties. No correspondence or further claims will be entertained.

6) TBM reserves the right to change any of the terms and conditions, program period or any of the program mechanics without prior notice.
